The Smart Solution
The IntElect Smart is available with clamping forces of 50 tonnes, 100 tonnes or 160 tonnes respectively. The Smart is equipped with Sumitomo all-electric direct drives (DD) to drive the main axes of the clamping unit and the injection unit. A belt-drive is used for the ejector with the smart configuration level, as compared to the performance configuration level, which has a direct ejector.
The Sumitomo dynamic drives are the basis for high precision and repeatability, whilst delivering high energy efficiency. The IntElect Smart is designed to meet the needs of customers who are looking for the precision and energy saving of a full electric machine, but do not require the higher levels of flexibility and all out speed of the IntElect Performance.
The combination of the Demag and Sumitomo technologies will deliver unique benefits to customers, in terms of energy saving, reliability, ease of use, repeatability and precision. The IntElect Smart is popular for its dynamic air-cooled drives and the lower entry price level.
