For the first time, Sumitomo and Demag Plastics Group present themselves with a joint European product range. Thus, both companies now document the merger which was decided on only in March 2008 also to the public.
The platform strategy for all Demag product lines, presented at the K-Fair 2007, is implemented and from now on forms the ideal machine platform for Sumitomo-Demag in Europe. As a result, we succeeded in forming a uniform basis for all Sumitomo-Demag products in Europe within a very short period and in integrating the tried-and-tested Sumitomo drive and injection technology in an ideal way. The new all-electric IntElect is, thus, derived from the same modular concept as the hydraulic Systec and the
hybrid fast-cycling El-Exis, so that the entire extensive catalogue of options is available regarding all three machine ranges.
